Security Dynamics to Use Netscape Products for SecurSight

[January 16] Netscape reports today that Security Dynamics has licensed Netscape Directory Server software and Netscape FastTrack Server software for the company's newly unveiled SecurSight products.

Security Dynamics plans to bundle Netscape Directory Server with the next release of its SecurSight Manager, and will embed Netscape FastTrack Server into SecurSight Manager to provide users with Web-based management and administration of Intranet and Extranet security.

By bundling Netscape Directory Server with SecurSight Manager, Security Dynamics said it will provide customers with an LDAP-based repository to store user data required for enterprise security solutions, including secure network access and Intranet applications security.

"Through its SecurSight family of products, Security Dynamics will help enterprises deliver to their end users and business partners information anytime, anywhere, securely," said Dave Power, senior vice president of marketing and corporate development at Security Dynamics.

"Critical to this vision is giving our SecurSight customers the choice of where to store user security information. By partnering with Netscape, we will be offering our customers the leading implementation of LDAP available today."

Security Dynamics introduced the SecurSight family of plug-in enterprise security products at the RSA Data Security Conference ear lier this week.
