Internet Mall Marketing Its OrderEasy E-Commerce Solution
[November 3] The Internet Mall Inc. in San Jose, CA said it is now marketing to merchants the OrderEasy Secure Electronic Commerce Service.
By following three steps--filling out the OrderEasy order form, the online payment system form; obtaining a Merchant ID through their bank or credit card processor; and adding "Buy Now" buttons to their Web sites--merchants can move up to "true" electronic commerce in less than a week, the company said.
The OrderEasy service provides secure real-time transactions, a sophisticated shopping cart, product database, and shipping and tax facilities to handle online merchandising.
The OrderEasy service is managed and operated by The Internet Mall Inc., and no additional hardware, software, or programming is required from the merchant.
"OrderEasy is the fastest and easiest way for merchants to add secure commerce capabilities to their store, and in plenty of time for the holiday season rush,” said Dave Taylor, president and chief technology officer of The Internet Mall. "Combined with our promotional capabilities within The Internet Mall . . . we offer a turnkey solution for cybermerchants seeking Web sales during the busiest weeks of the retail year."
The company's "Go Live in '97" holiday promotion lets merchants add secure transactions to their Web site for $99 per month plus a one-time $149 setup fee, which is applicable for up to 100 products.
In 1998, the company will return to its regular OrderEasy pricing, which has the same $99 monthly fee, but includes a 2.5% transaction fee for any transactions above $4,000 per month. Regular setup cost is $299.
The Internet Mall claims to have 27,000 stores. Shoppers can find stores by targeted interest, name, or keyword searches.
