CommerceNet Honors Award Winners

[November 12] CommerceNet, the e-commerce industry association, announced the six winners of the CommerceNet VIP Awards: Jango, eLoan, iPrint, Caravan, Cisco Systems, and ENEN.

The CommerceNet VIP awards are given to outstanding companies in the areas of collaboration, innovation, and results. The awards are given to the top three applicants in each of two important e-commerce arenas: business to consumer and business to business.

Business-to-Consumer Winners:

Jango offers state-of-the-art intelligent agents to help consumers conduct purchases online.
eLoan provides information for consumers regarding mortgages.
iPrint is like having a commercial printer resident on your desktop.

Business-to-Business Winners:

Caravan can ease small businesses into global sales.
Cisco Systems gives its suppliers and customers access to tremendous amounts of information in a logical and well-designed manner.
ENEN stands for the Education, News and Entertainment Network. Compelling audio and visual information can give new access to training and promotional materials and events.

"The VIP winners are wonderful examples of the best practices in electronic commerce today," said Randall C. Whiting, president and CEO of Palo Alto, CA-based CommerceNet.

The judges included electronic commerce experts including the editor-in-chief of ec.com magazine and the members of CommerceNet's advisory board.

CommerceNet is a nonprofit industry association for companies promoting and building electronic commerce solutions on the Internet. Membership has grown to more than 500 companies and organizations worldwide.
