Raptor EagleMobile Pro

As secure as any network can be made, transmissions through the Internet are more or less exposed to anyone with a PC and a modem. Raptor's EagleMobile Pro eliminates the risk of insider information leaking to outsiders by creating a Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnel, a path through which encrypted messages are sent.

A VPN tunnel extends the boundaries of a secure private network and its firewall. EagleMobile Pro works with a bundled light version of Raptor's Eagle firewall. It will not integrate with other firewalls, although it will work alongside one.

The Eagle firewall first authenticates a user and then negotiates encryption and authentication codes for the enabled VPN tunnel. Thereafter, the firewall and EagleMobile Pro can safely communicate.

EagleMobile Pro also provides data compression through the tunnel to achieve much higher throughput speeds. EagleMobile Pro can work in conjunction with Entrust technology so VPN connections can be made using safe Entrust authentication. EagleMobile Pro also integrates with other Internet security packages.

Installing EagleMobile Pro requires high-level Internet knowledge. That is mainly because the first part of the installation involves setting up the Eagle firewall. Documentation for EagleMobile Pro could be better, but its graphical user interface is easy to use and intuitive.

EagleMobile Pro is a complete solution for VPN use and an important product whenever secure Internet communication is required. Engineers liked EagleMobile Pro's thorough uninstall utility that cleanly removed all traces of the software from the system.
